Chapter 10 A Case Of Crazy

"See how hard you can punch that with your power. If you can control the blow of your punch with your power, I'll tell you about the four classes." Akali said. Lee Seng looked at Akali who was already cracking a smile. He smiled, giving a nod.

"It's been a while since you and I made a bet," Lee Seng pointed out. He started to stretch his arms, focusing on the vibration feeling. Akali nodded.

"The last time we made a bet was before you went to high school, pipsqueak." Akali thought back. "What was that bet again?"

"If I could beat your butt in a one on one." The two chuckled over the old memories and Akio shook his head.

"If I remember correctly, you two never finished that fight." Akio interjected.

"Nah, I'm pretty sure I won." Akali said.

"No, you didn't. I got the pin down on you." Lee Seng argued.

"Nah, you two definitely never finished the fight. Akali almost whipped a light dagger at you. I had to intervene and take the hit for you." Akio pulled his shirt up and a a scar on his abdomen showed. "I got the scar to prove it." The two nodded.

"That's right, I did toss a light blade at you." Akali remembered. "I think I, technically, won that bet." Lee Seng rolled his eyes and looked at the dummy.

"All I gotta do is hit this, right?" Lee Seng asked.

"Yup. Hit it with your power. I'll know if you did or not with this." Akali walked over to the dummy and touched the dummy. A warm, light energy started to envelope her hand and transfer over to the dummy. Lee Seng stood in awe for a moment. Akali's light power was truly something to be in awe about. She was usually the person who likes to observe others and not get involved. She was always the opposite of her brother so Lee Seng grew to appreciate Akali when she stepped forward and spoke.

Lee Seng looked at the dummy and then back at Akali who was waiting for him to start. Lee Seng took a breath and raised his left hand, bunching it into a fist. The vibration seemed to dissipate while he was talking to the twins and he hadn't noticed until now.

'Tune yourself to the vibrating sensation.' Lee Seng closed his eyes and imagined the Dark Matter start to shake. A couple of minutes passed and Lee Seng didn't feel the vibrating. He sighed, opening his eyes and staring at the glowing dummy. He let out a sigh and readjusted his stance.

'What did I really feel all those other times?' Lee Seng thought. He did think about what he did. It's what made him survive harsh beatings and force a smile at those who picked on him because of his Powerless status. 'I endured it just like I always did. They pick on me because I was Powerless. I'm at the bottom and because of... Because of who?'

Lee Seng stopped, his fist coming undone and his arm swinging to his side. The realization was setting in. He didn't remember much after turning the alley corner. He only remembered falling and then he woke up.

Lee Seng rubbed his eyes and turned away from the dummy and the twins. Akali and Akio watched him from afar, sitting off to the side. Akio pointed at Lee Seng and looked at his sister.

"He was concentrating and then he did that face. What's he thinking about now?" Akio asked.

"He could be struggling to figure out to have that vibrating feeling again. He did take awhile before."

"It doesn't answer why he just suddenly stopped focusing." Akio's finger hovered around Lee Seng's face. "See, he has his confused face on. He's clearly thinking about something."

"He could just be confused about the whole situation." Akali looked at her brother and brushed his worry comment off. She knew her brother worried about Lee Seng a little too much. He always looked out for Lee Seng and they got into plenty of trouble when Lee Seng was younger because of it. She didn't doubt Akio's worry for the almost-young-adult because she had her own share of worries.

The two watched as Lee Seng started to pace back and forth from the dummy. He was really stuck on something. Akio was about to stand when Akali grabbed him.

"Don't interfere." She told him. Before her brother could protest, she tightened her grip around his wrist and pulled him down. "He needs to figure this out. He won't have us around all the time." Akio sighed and sat down. His sister was right. Lee Seng would be off on his own again and he was almost an adult.

Lee Seng's mind was racing for answers. He began to pick up his speed and was now jogging around the room.

'What am I not remembering? The Kang twins chased me and I jumped off that building into the alleyway. I got hurt and changed my t shirt. I left the alleyway and then...' He stopped in his tracks. He could feel a weird sensation coming from behind him. He turned and saw nothing but Akali and Akio sitting in the other side of the room.

"What's happening to me?" He muttered. His tail jerked and he quicky turned. He began to panic when his tail began to jerk back and forth. He spun round and round until his tail jerked backwards and he stumbled onto his butt.

"What the--"

He felt the energy in his tail flare. He winced but there was no pain. He turned his gaze onto his tail and saw it pulsing. The gray wisps of energy we're moving around, pulsing. Lee Seng watched the wisps dance around.

'You aren't allowed to remember that.' A male voice spoke. Lee Seng looked around and saw no one. 'Don't go looking for me. You can't see me in your Realm.' Lee Seng began to open his mouth to speak but was shushed by the ethereal male voice.

'Close your eyes and drift to me.' The Ethereal male voice told him. Lee Seng looked behind him and saw the twins chatting away. He took a deep breath and nodded his head.

"Listen to the voice that I'm obviously creating as a manifestation of not remembering correctly." Lee Seng said. He began to laugh hysterically. "I didn't even have time to cope with anything so obviously I'm hearing things." He began to nod at his remark.

The ethereal voice sighed. 'You aren't crazy. I'm sorry I can't tell you much more right now, but if you just give it a chance, you'll understand.'

Lee Seng began to burst into laughter and the twins stopped and stared at him.

"Is he... laughing?" Akali asked.

"Should we... help him?"

The ethereal man sighed again. 'You really didn't feel me did you? I guess I'll pull you in here myself!" Lee Seng felt a pang of pain in his stomach and his vision became blurry. He grunted as he feel onto the floor. Darkness swept across his vision turning the gym and everything around him into a black form of nothingness.

"Finally, you're here." The ethereal male voice said. A single bell rang in the distance as Lee Seng's vision started refocus. Lee Seng pulled himself up off the ground, groaning as he rubbed his stomach. The single bell noise chimed closer towards Lee Seng. He lifted his head to see something white in the distance coming towards him. A white fox with gray wisp streaks came towards him and sat in front of him. The white fox had a necklace around it with a bell. It cocked it's head to the side and observed Lee Seng for a moment.

"So we meet." The ethereal male voice said. Lee Seng looked around to see where the voice was coming from but didn't see anything in the dark abyss. The fox stood and pranced around Lee Seng, slowly.

"W-who are you? W-where are you?" Lee Seng stuttered. The fox circled around and stood in front of Lee Seng.

"In front of you." The ethereal male voice said. Lee Seng looked at the fox and then behind, realizing no one but the fox and him were here. "I'm the voice you are hearing." Lee Seng started to back up and the fox shook it's head, letting out an audible sigh.

"Yes, a fox is talking to you. Out of everything, you're surprised about a fox talking to you?" The fox scoffed. "I would say I haven't struck a gold mine, but I'm apart of you." The fox shook it's head and sat.

"What do you want...?" Lee Seng stuttered.

"You and I need to come to an agreement." The fox tilted it's head and Lee Seng turned away from the fox. Everything was happening too fast. He had just gotten his powers somehow during the black out and lost two hours. He accidentally let out his power multiple times and now a white fox was talking to him. Lee Seng flopped onto the ground and lowered his head into the dark abyss.

'Im going crazy! Nothing makes sense. I'm gonna be out into a mental institution at this point or worse, monitored by the Creator!'

"Enough." The fox said. He pranced forward and nudged at Lee Seng's head with his snout. "You aren't crazy. If you just hear me out, I can guarantee you'll get what you want."

"A way... out?" Lee Seng looked up. The fox stepped back and sat, nodding.

"Sit and let's talk."
